Dress Summer

Summer dresses usually aren't my thing. I'm definitely more of a wide leg jumpsuit or culottes kind of girl throughout the warmer months. However, this summer that seems to have all changed. I've gone a little holiday shopping crazy recently and bought far too much for just a week away. Although, with all the sunny weather we've been experiencing in England I might be able to get some wear out of my new items at home as well as abroad.

I love to plan outfits before I go away, firstly because it makes packing easier, and secondly, because it makes things just that bit more relaxing - the last thing you want to do whilst you're on holiday is worry about what you're going to wear. This gorgeous embroidered dress will definitely be making an appearance, probably joined by some metallic sandals. Outfits that are made up of minimal components but still eye-catching are my favourite. This dress is perfect for understated and classic accessories.

My love for blazers started back at the end of last year when I was looking to expand my jacket collection. Blazers have been majorly casualised over the last couple of years, they have turned into an item you can pair with trainers and ripped jeans and not just something you keep in the back of your wardrobe for a job interview. I actually picked up this grey blazer quite a few months ago during Spring. I knew when I bought it that this was something that would last me for a long time. Not just because of the good quality, but mainly due to the versatility, classic fit and colouring. I can't wait for the Autumn when I can style this with a thick jumper and some over the knee boots.
